Efforts to recruit 150 medical students for the Class of 2021 at our new campus in Joplin, Missouri, have now begun! Last month, the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) voted to allow KCU to begin operations, including admission of students. KCU received the official green light last week.
Construction of the new campus is scheduled for completion in April 2017, with students arriving in July 2017. KCU-Joplin is the first new medical school in Missouri in nearly 50 years. The University will place a strong emphasis on primary and rural health care to help meet the growing need for physicians in the region. (read more)
